About

Welcome to Coignières Gardens with Garden design by Paul Bangay, located on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula.

HISTORY

The original property “The Pines” was 120 acres of dairy farming land and over the years has been converted to horse agistments and stables and the planting of over 2000 grape vines which still remain today under the property name of “Pasadera”. The property was subdivided into a 5 acre cattle farm and subsequently was sold with a new home being built in 2009.  In 2012 our family bought the property which is now Coignières Gardens.

A short while after purchasing the property we commenced the addition of a first floor to the house and a new garden designed by Paul Bangay, which includes more than 3000 new plantings of trees, shrubs, flower beds, etc, with elevated uninterrupted views overlooking Western Port Bay and Point Leo beach. There still remains on the property the original pine trees on the boundaries. Our family live on the property and tend to the garden with the help of a dedicated team of gardners.

We decided to open our lovely garden to the public for the Garden Designfest run by the Rotary Club of Kew every alternate year.  From this came the idea that our garden would provide a beautiful backdrop for photo opportunities; wedding photography, portrait photos, special occasions, etc.  Our comfortable, luxurious home is also available for rent with access to the swimming pool, tennis court and many other facilities.  Our home can accommodate a maximum of 8 guests.
